Frequently asked questions
The questions people actually type into a search bar at eleven at night, answered plainly.
-
My practice is rooted in a relational lens, combining systemic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed care. I frequently utilize Internal Family Systems and the Gottman Method to support your healing and growth.
-
I offer therapy for individuals, couples, and families ages thirteen and up, helping navigate stress, relationship challenges, and anxiety.
-
We work on shifting from blame to curiosity, identifying the repeating patterns you get caught in, and learning to repair after conflict to secure a more connected and resilient bond.
-
Often, yes — and it’s one of the most common ways couples arrive. A reluctant partner is usually not opposed to the relationship improving; they’re opposed to being blamed for an hour. Making sure that doesn’t happen is my job in the first session. If your partner won’t come at all, relational work with you alone still changes the system.

-
It depends on what you’re bringing and what you want out of it. Most people start weekly and stretch the interval as things stabilize. we will discuss your goals and timelines in our first few sessions.
-

-
Yes, anywhere in North Carolina, and you can mix telehealth with in-office sessions. For couples on two different schedules it is often the difference between attending and cancelling.
-
No — and also, faith is welcome here. Evergreen is a licensed clinical practice, not a ministry, and nothing in the work requires you to hold any belief. If faith is part of how you make sense of your life, it belongs in the room and I’ll treat it as real rather than working around it.
-
I prioritize authenticity, warmth, and a down-to-earth approach. I’m a real person who likes to laugh and values genuine vulnerability. My relational focus means you get care tailored to your specific lived experience.
-
By text or by email. I prioritize being available and will get back to you promptly to discuss your needs.
