MARRIAGE & COUPLES COUNSELING

Marriage & couples counseling

HOME / Marriage & Couples Counseling

A space where you and your partner can finally see the pattern keeping you stuck — and learn how to interrupt it.

Marriage and couples counseling is about creating a space where you and your partner can understand the patterns keeping you stuck. We'll look at how communication, past experiences, and underlying emotions shape your dynamic.

What we work on

Using tools like the Gottman Method and attachment theory, you'll learn to express needs safely, resolve conflicts, and rebuild trust. Most couples arrive able to describe the fight in detail but unable to describe the pattern underneath it. That's the first thing we name together.

The shift I'm aiming for is from blame to curiosity: identifying the loop you get caught in, and learning to repair afterward. Repair is the skill that separates couples who recover from couples who accumulate.

If your partner is reluctant

This is extremely common and not a dealbreaker. A hesitant partner is usually not against the relationship improving — they are against being put on trial for an hour. My first job is making sure that doesn't happen. And if they won't come at all, relational work with you alone still changes the system you're both in.

If your marriage is grounded in faith, that belongs in the room and I'll treat it as real rather than working around it. If it isn't, nothing here requires it.

Where faith fits

This tends to fit when…

  • The same argument keeps returning in different clothes

  • One or both of you has started managing the relationship instead of being in it

  • Trust has been damaged and you don't know whether it can be rebuilt

  • A life transition — a baby, a move, a job, a loss — changed the two of you

  • You still love each other and cannot seem to settle
