Individual counseling
You don't have to tackle the heavy stuff alone — and you don't have to arrive with the words already sorted out.
As a marriage and family therapist, I look at the individual through a relational lens, zooming in on how your connections and past experiences shape your present.
What we work on
I work with men who are ready to tackle anxiety, break through emotional blocks, and get in touch with what they're actually feeling. We'll work on clearing out the static holding you back so you can move forward with a clearer head and a stronger sense of self.
A relational lens matters here. Individual anxiety is rarely just individual — it lives inside a marriage, a family of origin, a job, a history. Treating the person without the context is how people end up feeling better for six weeks and then back where they started.
If you've never done this before
A lot of the men I see have never been to therapy and are not sure they believe in it. You don't need to arrive with insight, a diagnosis, or the right vocabulary. Showing up and describing the week is enough to start.
This tends to fit when…
Anxiety has started making decisions for you
You can describe what you think but not what you feel
Something from earlier in life keeps showing up in the present
Your marriage or family is strained and you want to work on your own part in it
You've been managing it alone for a long time and it's getting heavier
